Slabs of a variety of unpolished semi-precious stones puzzled together into an organic shape reminiscent of the impressive views of K2 in Kashmir, Pakistan and China (2nd tallest, and arguably most difficult to summit, mountain on Earth, elevation = 28,251’). Unlike most of my mountainscapes, this colossal piece was designed to be viewed from one side (due to its size, weight, etc).
Sourced from the scraps of a local gem shop, I search for slabs of stone with organic mountain-like forms and flat bottoms to puzzle together sculptures of mountain ranges. Prices reflect the amount and quality of materials and the time it took to handcraft each piece.
If you see a piece you like that is no longer available or that inspires you to want to collaborate on a specific design, please don’t hesitate to contact me! I love doing commissioned projects.
